I have clients ask why candy bars are still so popular, and the answer is very simple really - everyone loves sweets. If not for themselves, they love to take something home to their kids, grandkids, partner. Of course, that’s not the only reason people love them. Candy bars are one of the things that fill so many roles.
- Favor
- Activity
- Decor
As favors go, this is always a winner because guests won’t throw it out. It’s like when you were young and went to the candy store and were told you could fill your bag with all of your favorite treats. Ok, that probably never happened, but you get the idea.
Not only do your guests get to pick out their favorite candies - and who doesn’t love that? - but it’s also an activity. There are always down times at a social event, the guest(s) of honor are busy, dinner has been served, and you’re not quite ready to dance. Oh look, a Candy Bar!
A well designed candy bar also adds decor to the event, as well as to the theme, creating another focal point in the room. A candy bar can fit in with just about any color or theme - think Cracker Jacks for a baseball theme, your favorite movie theater candy for a Hollywood theme, seaglass for a beach theme… the list goes on and on.
